The St. Regis Florence

A hotel destination since the 18th century, The St. Regis Florence offers old-world grandeur in a historical building set along the Arno River with views of the infamous Ponte Vecchio.

Our room featured Florentine-style furniture and a marble bathroom, and with an excellent butler service catering to our every need. Breakfast was buffet-style with gourmet meats and cheeses, and homemade bread and a selection of cakes made fresh by the baker. Highlights were fresh omelettes and Eggs Benedict ordered right off the menu.

The Winter Garden, the hotel restaurant, was buzzing with laughter and joy while piano music was performed by a talented fellow. The perfect setting to enjoy a seven-course meal with local wine and top-notch service. The barman, Andrea, entertained and enlightened with stories about the hotel and its traditions, and taught Johann the sabering ritual where he opened a bottle with a sabre. This was an experience to remember! For a five-star stay, The St. Regis is something special, and the staff was so attentive and kind that they made us feel like long-time friends.
