The St. Regis Florence

A hotel destination since the 18th century, The St. Regis Florence offers old-world grandeur in a historical building set along the Arno River with views of the infamous Ponte Vecchio.

Our room featured Florentine-style furniture and a marble bathroom, and with an excellent butler service where we got our attire ironed for the evening, this hotel made us feel very special. The breakfast was a buffet of gourmet meats and cheeses and homemade bread, and the chef made omelettes and Eggs Benedict right off the menu.

The Winter Garden, the hotel restaurant, was buzzing with laughter and enjoyment while piano music was performed by a talented fellow. The perfect setting to enjoy a seven-course meal with local wine and top-notch service. The barman, Andrea, entertained and enlightened with stories about the hotel and its traditions, and taught Johann the sabering ritual where he opened a bottle with a sabre. This was an experience to remember! For a five-star stay, The St. Regis is something special, and the staff was so attentive and kind that they made us feel like long-time friends.
